The Review 2024

The IU Southeast Review showcases the best short fiction, poetry, creative nonfiction, art, and photography created by IU Southeast undergraduates. The literary journal is completely designed, produced, and published by a student editorial staff under the guidance of Tom O’Neal, Senior Lecturer in English and advisor to the Review.
Each year, publication of the IU Southeast Review is celebrated with a release party where contributors present their work. Copies of The Review are provided free of charge at the release party and are also distributed to racks around the campus.
The IU Southeast Review is funded by student activity fees and The School of Arts and Letters, with additional support provided by the Indiana University Southeast Library.

Process
The client was open to any design style, so I naturally gravitated toward a Y2K aesthetic for this cover. I researched the key characteristics of this style and thoughtfully incorporated them into the design.

Graduate Research Journal
The Graduate Research Journal (GRJ) is an interdisciplinary forum for the publication of original graduate work. All types of papers will be considered: research, literature reviews, case studies, etc.

The goal of this project was to recreate a book jacket inspired by historical graphic design styles. The book selected was Figure Drawing: Design and Innovation by Michael Hampton, reimagined in a grunge-era aesthetic.
